We are very sorry that we are no longer collaborating with Shalom Collective and Adamama this year. While the joint event has been cancelled, Limmud Oz Sydney is still going ahead. We hope you will join us to celebrate Jewish ideas and culture.

Sunday 7 June – Monday 8 June

We are committed to our values of diversity, respect and participation. The Limmud tent is wide and inclusive. We do not exclude Jews from Jewish learning and teaching. We believe that bringing together Jews of different denominations, ages, backgrounds and politics makes us stronger.

Check out the program and buy your tickets now to join us for a long weekend of connection and community!

Rahel Berkovits

We’re so excited to be welcoming Rahel Berkovits from Israel as our international guest for 2026!

Rahel is a senior faculty member at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem and has been teaching Mishnah, Talmud and halakha for thirty years. Rahel lectures widely in both Israel and abroad on topics concerning women and Jewish law and a Jewish sexual ethic.

She is the Halakhic Editor and an author for JOFA’s Hilkhot Nashim series, published by Maggid, and is a founding member of Congregation Shirah Hadasha in Jerusalem. In June 2015, Rahel received Rabbinic Ordination from Rabbis Herzl Hefter and Daniel Sperber.

What does Limmud mean to our community?

“Limmud does something no other event does in our community – it brings people together from different religious, political and cultural backgrounds and makes them talk. It’s truly a celebration of everything Jewish.”

– Donny

“I have been going to Limmud Oz since I was a kid, and I love that there has always been something exciting for me, at every stage of my life so far.”

— Sarah

“Limmud is a truly special space, one in which I’ve simultaneously felt free to grow within my comfort zones, while also exploring a whole host of new ideas and phenomena. At Limmuds in Australia and America, I’ve connected with friends and community acquaintances, but have also met incredible new people, all with different backgrounds, journeys and stories to share. There’s a special connection between those who are at a Limmud together – it’s indescribable!”

— Eli

“I went to Limmud three times and am now pursuing a career in Jewish education. A coincidence? A bad idea? I guess we’ll never know. Thanks Limmud!”

— Shoshana
